West Coast Women’s Permaculture is dedicated to supporting women who are passionate about the permaculture movement by hosting the West Coast Women’s Permaculture Gatherings (WCWPG) every two years since 2009. Until now, we have been a group of women who have volunteered our time to organize the gathering because we really believe in women and permaculture and that by bringing the two together the world begins to become the place we dream it can be.

It is time to step it up and take WCWP to the next level of organization. We need to develop our mission and vision, governance structure, and create the template for future gathering organizers to use, decide whether to become a non-profit or continue to be sponsored by Seattle Tilth and brainstorm ideas for future women’s gatherings here on the West Coast. The plan is to have two or three “working sessions” at the NAPC (September 14th - 18th) to get input from organizers, participants and advisors.

We are also working with the NAPC and BRCC to develop the Women’s programming and a Women’s Tent area at the convergence, so stay tuned for more information as it develops.

Please join us this year at the North American Permaculture Convergence that is being hosted by northern California’s Building Resilient Communities Convergence.

Seattle Tilth has been our fiscal sponsor for which we are immensely grateful! Please check out the work they are doing to support local food systems.
